Inspecta receives large order from Alstom [2006-11-27]

Inspecta Nuclear has received an order from Alstom to carry out all third-party inspection for the modernization of the turbine systems at Oskarshamn 3. The project is a part of Project PULS, i.e. a modernization of Oskarshamn 3 to meet new safety requirements and a power up-rate from 1200 MW to 1450 MW electrical power.

Alstom has been contracted by OKG to modernize the turbine island which includes an extensive up-grading of existing turbines. Inspecta Nuclear will assist Alstom with design review and inspection of manufacturing and installation.

We are pleased to have contracted Inspecta for the third-party inspection, says project manager Amel Akhtar at ALSTOM. Their knowledge, resources and extensive experience of Oskarshamn 3 will be of great value to us.
