Joakim Wikeby new CEO of Inspecta Sweden

Joakim Wikeby is the new CEO of Inspecta Sweden.
– I have great appreciation for the knowledge that exists within Inspecta. The company is, and has for the past decades been, an important part of Swedish industry. I want us to keep developing the work we do for our clients, and also build on the expertise we have within the company.

In March 17, 2017, Joakim Wikeby took office as the new CEO of Inspecta Sweden. Previously he held the position as business area manager for Dekra Industrial, a company for which he has worked since 2009. At Dekra, Joakim Wikeby led areas such as inspection of lifting devices and pressure equipment, testing and material studies. In other words, he brings a great deal of trade knowledge into his new position.

– I have great appreciation for the knowledge that exists within Inspecta. The company is, and has for the past decades been, an important part of Swedish industry. As CEO, I want to care for that legacy, while continuing to develop our services in order to meet the industry’s needs today and tomorrow.

Joakim started off his career as a mechanical engineer, and has since then held various positions within the Swedish industry, such as inspection engineer, testing engineer, project leader and manager of different levels of technical departments. He has worked within companies such as ABB and Volvo Cars, before entering the role as regional director at ÅF Kontroll (now Dekra Industrial) in 2009.

A signature mark of Joakim’s leadership is a constant effort to improve the operations he manages. That includes finding new services, or new ways of doing things, with the goal of providing greater value for the clients.

– One of the things I look forward to being a part of, as CEO for Inspecta Sweden, is bringing out the intrinsic potential within the company. I want us to keep developing the work we do for our clients, and also build on the expertise we have within the company.

Joakim’s vision of Inspecta Sweden’s future is finding ways to maintain and improve the high level of skill, while always keeping the client’s perspective in mind.
– We need to help our clients make rational and cost-effective decisions. We will always pay attention to the laws and regulations, but we will also keep our client’s needs in mind and be flexible enough to find good solutions to their problems. These are the matters I want us to focus on.

During the first months as CEO, Joakim will visit all of Inspecta Sweden’s 26 local offices, in order to meet as many employees and clients as possible. This is the first step on Inspecta’s journey towards becoming more focused on quality and client satisfaction, a journey that Joakim hopes to share with the entire company.
