Inspecta buys OÜ Tehnokontrollikeskus from the State of Estonia

Estonian OÜ Tehnokontrollikeskus, a state-owned company providing mainly technical inspection and testing services will be privatized. Inspecta won a public auction that was held in November by Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications to execute the privatization. The acquisition will be completed in early 2011.

Tehnokontrollikeskus (TKK, Technical Inspection Centre) inspects pressure equipment, machinery, gas appliances lifts and cable ways. In addition, TKK offers NDT and electrical testing services, product and personnel certification and training. TKK is also a notified body in the field of seven EU directives. The company employs 51 persons and has an annual turnover of 30 MEEK. The head office is located in Tallinn and other offices in Tartu, Pärnu and Jõhvi.

The acquisition strengthens Inspecta’s operations and service offer in Estonia significantly. After the deal Inspecta will achieve the market leader position within the branch also in Estonia. Currently Inspecta provides certification and testing services in Estonian market and employs 9 persons.
