As plastic materials are frequently used for the storage and processing of corrosive liquids, such as strong acids, the consequence of a failure can be devastating.

Non Destructive Testing (NDT) is a requested tool in inspecting tanks and pipes made of glass-fibre reinforced material. Up until now, NDT-methods for field use have not been fully developed for adequate precision.  

Inspecta has developed procedures for several testing methods of Glass Fibre reinforced laminates:
